Veranstaltung: Die Europäische Kommune

„Europa findet längst statt. Der europäische Horizont umreißt den für uns entscheidenden gesellschaftlichen und politischen Handlungsraum“ schreiben die Koalition der Sozialen Zentren aus Italien und die Interventionistische Linke (D/A) und umreißen als Perspektive die "Europäische Kommune". Gedacht als Ausgangspunkt für eine Debatte über die Bedingungen, Herausforderungen und Perspektiven für eine echte transnationale Bewegung gegen das Europa des Kapitals und der Grenzen, möchten wir den Text nun zur Diskussion stellen. Dazu haben wir Organisationen und Bündnisse aus verschiedenen Ländern und Spektren eingeladen den Text zu kommentieren und ihre Vision für ein Europa von unten zu skizzieren. Die transnationale Mobilisierung gegen den EU-Gipfel zur Jugendarbeitslosigkeit, der am 11. Juli in Turin stattfinden stellt für uns dabei eine erste Möglichkeit dar, unsere Kämpfe zusammenzubringen. Dabei ist Turin für uns nicht das Ziel, sondern nur der Ausgangspunkt einer von unten, von den konstituierenden sozialen Bewegungen Europas getragenen „Jahreszeit der Kämpfe“ über die Nicht-Eröffnung der EZB im Herbst bis hin zur Europäischen Kommune.

"Europe is taking place. And as such, the European scale has become one of our critical social and political spaces of action", write the Coalition of Social Centers in Italy and the Interventionist Left in Germany/Austria, outlining the perspective of a "European Commune". We would like to put the text up for discussion as a point of departure in a discussion about the conditions, challenges and perspectives for a real transnational movement against the Europe of capital and borders. We have invited organisations and coalitions from various countries and currents to comment on the text and sketch with us a vision for a Europe from below.
The transnational mobilisation against the EU summit on youth unemployment on July 11 presents itself as an opportunity, moreover, to bring our struggles together on the street. Turin is not the goal, but rather another initial step of a "Season of Struggles" carried from below, from the constituent social movements of Europe, towards the non-opening of the new ECB tower in the fall and further on towards the Commune of Europe.
